Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonides Chago started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Amador Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Olimpia defense, Amador Raymond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Cabrera. The Club Olimpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Cabrera should have stopped the shot. After 6 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Eliazar Salantes. Paulo Cabrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Raymond in the 8th minute of play. Paulo Cabrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Raymond came free, but Paulo Cabrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Wiklund made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Fernando Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Teo Unax in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Olimpia's Alan Cano. RACINGUS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Fernando Cardozo scored to the left of an out of position Håkan Wiklund, making the score, 1-1. Paulo Cabrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Raymond in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Amador Raymond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. German Emesto took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Cabrera. Paulo Cabrera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Club Olimpia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RACINGUS:s goal. Paulo Cabrera had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Alejo Bento's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 33 minutes of play, RACINGUS's Alejo Bento made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Cabrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Håkan Wiklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, RACINGUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Unax to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to RACINGUS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Teo Unax hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Eliazar Salantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Olimpia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RACINGUS the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliazar Salantes to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Cardozo to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Leonides Chago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Paulo Cabrera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Chago in the 67th minute of the match. Fernando Cardozo scored 2-4 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Wiklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Cabrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Herrera in the 75th minute. Håkan Wiklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Roberto Bueldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Lucio Aballe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Cabrera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, RACINGUS's Teo Unax got a free kick in the 79th minute. Leonides Chago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Cabrera came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonides Chago slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 80th minute. The supporters of RACINGUS booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lope Rugama didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Club Olimpia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RACINGUS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
