An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Estevez in the 9th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ermis Chatzis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoriano Estevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermis Chatzis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victoriano Estevez ran back to his position shaking his head. If Victoriano Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 19th minute of the match Themos Stamelos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Themos Stamelos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Themos Stamelos got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ermis Chatzis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Estevez in the 25th minute of play. Maravilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΠΑΟΚ FC the free kick. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Paulus Van Poucke hit a great ball. After 46 minutes of play, Maravilla's Paulus Van Poucke made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermis Chatzis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ΠΑΟΚ FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maravilla were winning 0-5.

Iván Leguizamón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ermis Chatzis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermis Chatzis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Estevez's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Paulus Van Poucke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermis Chatzis having to interfere. Victoriano Estevez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermis Chatzis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ermis Chatzis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Estevez in the 81st minute of play. Kylian Henry made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nikitas Zotalis. In the 88th minute Nikitas Zotalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Iván Leguizamón. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maravilla eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
