The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Vito Hoffmann fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ture Nyberg fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skollholmen FC's protests and gave Ture Nyberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Skollholmen FC got a freekick which was hit by Ture Nyberg. Skollholmen FC's Måns Sigfridsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Hoffmann in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Hoffmann in the 16th minute of play forced Skollholmen FC's goalkeeper Måns Sigfridsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Hoffmann scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Måns Sigfridsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Skollholmen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Salgado came free, but Måns Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Måns Sigfridsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieguinho Salgado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Måns Sigfridsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Dieguinho Salgado slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká da Silva got free with Måns Sigfridsson in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Vito Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Måns Sigfridsson. Skollholmen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ture Nyberg in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Kaká da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Vidal lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 44th match minute, O MOTIVO ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Vidal to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Adelsköld got free with Erivaldo Hermes in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute Marko Adelsköld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Måns Sigfridsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Emílio Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the O MOTIVO ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Veiga couldn't finish the play. A collision led to O MOTIVO ⚽ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Dida Guimarães hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Jörgen Biörkquist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Hermes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. O MOTIVO ⚽'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
