After having played for 16 minutes, Edu Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edu Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Pena came free, but Everardo Mendebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Mendebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Faria in the 28th minute of the match. Everardo Mendebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xurupita FC. In the 47th minute of the match Wilian Donato shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everardo Mendebal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edu Pena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Saturnino Blanco in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Blanco in the 76th minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Hílton Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês de Sena hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Edu Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89thth minute of the game Cesinha Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Everardo Mendebal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesinha Faria in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Mendebal saved El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa from getting behind. Eurico Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Mendebal having to interfere.
