In the 2nd minute Claudio Santini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th match minute, Savicevic Show was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Santini to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of New Loser FC booed when Savicevic Show was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Pazienza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dorival de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Dorival de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comunardo Taddeo. Savicevic Show's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Comunardo Taddeo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Alfonso Cinalli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fortunato Tomasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cláudio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savicevic Show's Comunardo Taddeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Queirós in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Pedro Luiz Prado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Comunardo Taddeo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cláudio Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Santini in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Santini in the 33rd minute of play forced New Loser FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Fortunato Tomasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Savicevic Show's zone, Dorival de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Comunardo Taddeo came out of the goal and Dorival de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Dorival de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Taddeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorival de Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Tomasso in the 60th minute of play. Christian Iannone hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. New Loser FC's Cláudio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Bergamini in the 66th minute of play. Savicevic Show's Ermanno Bergamini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cláudio Maranhense in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Christian Iannone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cláudio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Queirós's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Comunardo Taddeo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute of the match Ermanno Bergamini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio Maranhense skillfully saved the ball. Cláudio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Tomasso in the 78th minute of play. Cláudio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Santini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Savicevic Show had played much better football throughout.
