When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Thomás Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ximenes Barnechea to make any attempt to save it. Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Alianza Trujillo from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Inacio Trevijano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Alianza Trujillo's zone, Thomás Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ximenes Barnechea came out of the goal and Thomás Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Green Academy booed when Alianza Trujillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Mirabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Thomás Garcia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ximenes Barnechea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ximenes Barnechea was a little too slow when Thomás Garcia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Alianza Trujillo from getting a goal against them. Germán Cano took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ximenes Barnechea. Ximenes Barnechea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ximenes Barnechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Green Academy booed when Alianza Trujillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaufred Parraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alianza Trujillo's Markel Romay was substituted for Gaufred Parraga. In the 97th minute of the match Alberto Antoñano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinícius Olgado skillfully saved the ball.
