The Ilulea FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Joaquin Gumaro sped through Azulgranas AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Faustino Azevedo. Lorenzo Pirro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Ilulea FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ilulea FC's Joaquin Gumaro got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas AFC's Lorenzo Pirro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Faustino Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Gumaro in the 96th minute of play. The Azulgranas AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ilulea FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
