The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Fellipe Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundial EC and the Encanto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fellipe Moreira hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Encanto's Manuel Vianna got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Encanto's Manuel Vianna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Encanto from getting a goal against them. Jardel Mattos's late challenge caught a Mundial EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jardel Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. Jardel Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mundial EC's Anselmo Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Vianna. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Manuel Vianna made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Chicão de Brito sent off a good shot on target. With 20 minutes on the clock, Nico Palmeira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Norberto Vergílio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Encanto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mundial EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Encanto's Jerônimo Mendes got a free kick in the 27th minute. Chicão de Brito scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Vianna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruy Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Mendes in the 34th minute of play. Anselmo Sampaio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Vianna came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Sampaio slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute, Mundial EC's Anselmo Sampaio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Vianna. Manuel Vianna yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerônimo Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Manuel Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Rosado in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute Anselmo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Encanto booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Soeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Saldanha in the 86th minute of play forced Encanto's goalkeeper Manuel Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Leonardo Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Vianna was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Jerônimo Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Mundial EC were the better team. Mundial EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
