NAPOLI's Eraldo Scibilia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Domeka in the 6th minute of play. With his leg Bernabe Remicio managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Moscatelli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ciccio Moscatelli put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernabe Remicio. Christian Guadagnoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Remicio having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Profecías de Parravicini's goalkeeper Bernabe Remicio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciccio Moscatelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ciccio Moscatelli sped through Profecías de Parravicini's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernabe Remicio. Eraldo Scibilia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernabe Remicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Moscatelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Ciccio Moscatelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe Remicio was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. There was no doubt that S.S.C. NAPOLI were the better team. S.S.C. NAPOLI's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
