After 24 minutes, Vladimiro Garoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mandiyu and the Capibaribe Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Acácio Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. Mathias Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Emenon in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Enzo Emenon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Mandiyu had played much better football throughout.
