The referee ignored FC CSKA's protests and gave Doychin Chervenkov a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of FC CSKA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Mandiyu:s goal. Stanislav Velikin had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnoldo Janpier's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, FC CSKA's Hristo Konsulov got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of Deportivo Mandiyu booed when FC CSKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gergin Muchanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Blagovest Bunev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Garoa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gergin Muchanov hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Yancho Dzhongarski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deportivo Mandiyu's Samuel Matxin. Samuel Matxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd match minute, FC CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blagovest Bunev to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Emenon scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanislav Velikin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Inocencio Marin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC CSKA's goalkeeper Stanislav Velikin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Deportivo Mandiyu defense, Tinko Minkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Matxin. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Matxin should have stopped the shot. If Tinko Minkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anselmo Cesario fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Anselmo Cesario a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for FC CSKA. Gergin Muchanov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Samuel Matxin. 2-3.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Janpier made the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, Enzo Emenon notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of FC CSKA's Stanislav Velikin. Stanislav Velikin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67thth minute of the game Enzo Emenon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC CSKA's Stanislav Velikin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deportivo Mandiyu's Aquiles Bernard was substituted for Enzo Emenon. Yancho Dzhongarski took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Matxin. Samuel Matxin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-5. When Vangel Simidchiyski came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC CSKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vangel Simidchiyski couldn't finish the play. FC CSKA's Stanislav Velikin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Bernard in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Yancho Dzhongarski managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC CSKA's supporters rose to their feet, but Yancho Dzhongarski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Matxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Deportivo Mandiyu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC CSKA's performance. The match ended with a win for FC CSKA.
