Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniele De Matteis started the match with the kick off. Tudor Bărbânță scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amos Giusto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Tudor Bărbânță slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amos Giusto. That made the score 2-0 after 7 minutes of play. Flavio Calcio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Tudor Bărbânță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Giusto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Platon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele De Matteis in the 21st minute of the match. 3-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Daniele De Matteis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tudor Bărbânță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amos Giusto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bărbânță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tudor Bărbânță received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amos Giusto came out and tried to block the shot, but Tudor Bărbânță slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Tudor Bărbânță ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amos Giusto. Amos Giusto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. In the 44th minute Daniele De Matteis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tudor Bărbânță made a kick off. Amos Giusto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Amânaloae in the 53rd minute of play. Armando Falcioni hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Tudor Bărbânță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Moise Amânaloae hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Daniele De Matteis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Podgoreanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Bărbânță in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amos Giusto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Moise Amânaloae made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amos Giusto was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Rivera in the 76th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Sporting Club Sicilia got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Malatesta. Amos Giusto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Bărbânță, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Amos Giusto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bărbânță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Emiliano Galdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Club Sicilia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
