The supporters of ACF Fiorentina booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Medrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelian Tomoioagă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Inko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Egoi took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stelian Tomoioagă. Stelian Tomoioagă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Manole Dascălu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Maximo Gasteiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Teaşcă's late challenge caught a ACF Fiorentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doru Teaşcă helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Doru Teaşcă hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Manole Dascălu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ACF Fiorentina's Maximo Gasteiz. Maximo Gasteiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute Horacio Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Tomoioagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Dascălu scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximo Gasteiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stelian Tomoioagă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Silviu Medrea charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. ACF Fiorentina's Maximo Gasteiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicola Andrei in the 45th minute of play. After the first half FC Urzicuța were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Saturnino Inko made the kick off in the second half. Nicola Andrei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximo Gasteiz having to make a save.
