After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Sjors Schulte got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Oxarra in the 11th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Casper Enting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gerard Salens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Verwachting defense, Cleto Lalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Enting. The Verwachting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Enting should have stopped the shot. If Ermegildo Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdi Dol to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Salens to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Felipe Alonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Rebelution's Alejo Cordario seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alejo Cordario the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rebelution protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alejo Cordario had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 played minutes Rebelution got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Cordario. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Lalla in the 37th minute of play. Damian Oxarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Enting having to interfere. Damian Oxarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerard Salens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Verwachting players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rebelution were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Oxarra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Oxarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Enting read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Ermegildo Turi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Hans van Gaal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Orlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Enting made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Cleto Lalla sent off a good shot on target. Casper Enting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Dolfos in the 65th minute. Casper Enting made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Damian Oxarra sent off a good shot on target. Damian Oxarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Casper Enting made a huge save. Jacobo Orlo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ben Spierenburg hit a great ball. Felipe Alonso charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Alonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Orlando Corderall kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans van Gaal in the 83rd minute of play forced Rebelution's goalkeeper Jacobo Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Oxarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Casper Enting made a huge save. Verwachting's attentive Hans van Zalingen managed to snatch the ball when Orlando Corderall made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Oscar Vaalman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Vaalman. The Rebelution players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Verwachting from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
