Lucjan Nowacki started the match with the kick off. Lucjan Nowacki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Luca Corcoveanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 4 played minutes KS LEW Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Degutis. 6 minutes into the game, Adam Buș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Borys Pieknik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luca Corcoveanu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Lucjan Nowacki sent off a good shot on target. Lucjan Nowackis short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Luca Corcoveanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when KS LEW Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Nowacki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Corcoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Kendra in the 24th minute of play. If Leszek Kendra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Roşu in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borys Pieknik saved KS LEW Chorzów from getting behind. Borys Pieknik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Roşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Steaua Pildesti were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after KS LEW Chorzów's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgar Jdeica took the corner. In the 39th minute Marius Cănănău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Pieknik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Jdeica. FC Steaua Pildesti's Luca Corcoveanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Kendra in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Traian Roşu to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucjan Nowacki in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luca Corcoveanu saved FC Steaua Pildesti from getting behind. Marius Cănănău kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Borys Pieknik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Ficsinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 74th minute, Marius Cănănău got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leszek Kendra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borys Pieknik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Cănănău went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. KS LEW Chorzów's Borys Pieknik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Ficsinescu in the 87th minute of play. Borys Pieknik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Traian Roşu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play. Marius Cănănău struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Borys Pieknik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Steaua Pildesti's Adam Buș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Borys Pieknik. That made the score 0-4 after 94 minutes of play. FC Steaua Pildesti's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
