Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) 3 minutes into the match, UNITED's goalkeeper Victor Valdes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Eising. 5 minutes into the match, UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Siepel came free, but Victor Valdes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Valdes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Siepel, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Freek Lange kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victor Valdes. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. When Jack Siepel fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Wissenkerke's protests and gave Jack Siepel a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Jack Siepel. After 11 played minutes, UNITED's Graciano Teruel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nigel Need came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UNITED reached it. After 12 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Jack Siepel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Morata in the 15th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Nigel Need to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UNITED's Victor Valdes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Eising in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SV Wissenkerke's zone, Belo Roig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nigel Need came out of the goal and Belo Roig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nigel Need showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Morata in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Patrick Redan hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Danny Eising got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Leobardo Escobar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Wissenkerke the free kick. Leobardo Escobar hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Victor Valdes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Patrick Redan. Danny Eising hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Benigno Serra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Need having to interfere. The supporters of UNITED booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjors Breugel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Alvaro Morata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Need saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Morata to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Belo Roig. Jack Siepel kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With his leg Nigel Need managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when UNITED's Benigno Serra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Patrick Redan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josias Verdaguer in the 67th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Nigel Need to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Gerjan Staarman. Victor Valdes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Eising, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Alvaro Morata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Need saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind UNITED's goalkeeper Victor Valdes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertran Lastras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sjors Breugel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Valdes having to interfere. Despite being the better team, UNITED failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
