The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihai Cismaș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Jusepe in the 3rd minute. After 3 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Levința. Baltasar Urbez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Voitiş in the 9th minute of play. Chorroarín:s Baltasar Urbez showed great skill when he stopped Maxim Petran:s penalty. Marcu Voitiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigore Rizescu to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Simon Sabino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chorroarín and the MIT Craiova players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chorroarín getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Simon Sabino hit a great ball. Baltasar Urbez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Voitiş, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Moisil in the 38th minute of play forced Chorroarín's goalkeeper Baltasar Urbez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Urbez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Voitiş in the 39th minute of the match. Mihai Cismaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcu Voitiş was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Moisil. In the 57th minute, Marcu Voitiş made a precise shot to the right of Baltasar Urbez. Chorroarín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Chorroarín's Gogo Chago was substituted for Gonzalo Goiz. With an all-out effort, MIT Craiova's Baltasar Urbez threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Grigore Rizescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Valer Papadima hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes, Chorroarín's Aurelio Confesor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihai Cismaș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chorroarín reached it. Mihai Cismaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Chorroarín fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Chorroarín's Marcos Jusepe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 78 minutes into the match, Gogo Chago notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of MIT Craiova's Mihai Cismaș. Mihai Cismaș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Glodeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Aurelio Confesor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihai Cismaș showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mihai Cismaș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Chago went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Simon Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mihai Cismaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcu Voitiş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Urbez having to interfere. MIT Craiova's Marcu Voitiş got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chorroarín walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
