Emil Glodeanu's late challenge caught a Raker Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Glodeanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Glodeanu to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Grigore Rizescu sped through Raker Futbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aurelio Louis. Raker Futbol Club's Aurelio Louis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Moisil in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of MIT Craiova booed when Raker Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Iturri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Louis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Rizescu in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Grigore Rizescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Louis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iulian Burtea was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Geronimo Loren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geronimo Loren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Aurelio Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Rizescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Geronimo Loren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Geronimo Loren took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Iulian Burtea to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Raker Futbol Club getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Segundo Iturri hit a great ball. When Grigore Rizescu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the MIT Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Rizescu couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geronimo Loren to make the kick off. Aurelio Louis came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by MIT Craiova's Grigore Rizescu. But to his dismay, Grigore Rizescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihai Cismaș during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mihai Cismaș hit a great ball. Aurelio Louis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Geantă in the 59th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, Raker Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Vedillo to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Louis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Petrică Geantă showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 78 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Geantă in the 82nd minute of play forced Raker Futbol Club's goalkeeper Aurelio Louis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Raker Futbol Club's Geronimo Loren got a free kick in the 85th minute. MIT Craiova's Grigore Rizescu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigore Rizescu to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Geantă, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Raker Futbol Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MIT Craiova were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
