Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gigi Ciuhandu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the game, Ingvar Sundström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hartlepool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alex Team the free kick. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ingvar Sundström hit a great ball. Niculae Dănășel made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Thomas Helberg sent off a good shot on target. Niculae Dănășel came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hartlepool's Åke Dalman. But to his dismay, Åke Dalman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Panait Giuverdea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Ciuhandu in the 19th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Tim Lindqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Lindqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gigi Ciuhandu's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Sergiu Hurmuz hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bo Ahlin took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niculae Dănășel. Niculae Dănășel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Niculae Dănășel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Dalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Gigi Ciuhandu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goalkeeper Niculae Dănășel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Helberg. The supporters of Alex Team booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Alberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigi Ciuhandu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Lindqvist having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Hartlepool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Björkkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Gică Boerescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The supporters of Alex Team booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Vestlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd match minute, Hartlepool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Ahlin to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Ove Alberg came free, but Niculae Dănășel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Lindqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gigi Ciuhandu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 60 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Alex Team's Gică Boerescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Lindqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alex Team's Gigi Ciuhandu in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hartlepool's goalie prevented a goal. In the 70th minute, Alex Team's Gigi Ciuhandu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. Niculae Dănășel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Ahlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Dalman came free, but Niculae Dănășel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Hartlepool's Tim Lindqvist got control of the ball when Gică Boerescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gică Boerescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Lindqvist. That made the score 3-4 in the 88 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alex Team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
