Petre Macamete hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Denis Negruț's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristian Bacalu firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Ciupe in the 8th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Bodea. Costel Gherase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 16 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Damian Ghișe. In the 17th match minute, FC Csíkszereda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Focșa to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Irinel Peptan in the 18th minute really tested Cristian Bacalu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. FC Csíkszereda's Cristian Bacalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Buciu in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Răduț in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Bacalu saved FC Csíkszereda from getting behind. Alex Răduț was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cristian Bacalu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Răduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when FC Csíkszereda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Păsărin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicu Păsărin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Unicorns ™ fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Unicorns ™'s Alex Răduț looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 46 minutes into the game, Costel Gherase cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Corneliu Vulpăşin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Răduț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Csíkszereda getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Costel Gherase hit a great ball. Iulian Buciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Bacalu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Buciu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 minutes, Daniel Arșanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Csíkszereda and the Unicorns ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, one of FC Csíkszereda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Corneliu Vulpăşin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Petre Macamete kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alex Răduț's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Bacalu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, FC Csíkszereda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Gherase to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Alex Răduț got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Răzvan Cantemir fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Csíkszereda's protests and gave Răzvan Cantemir a yellow card for diving instead. Răzvan Cantemir hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
