The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Timmi Bantz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmkjar Hotspurs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C Ａ R D I N Ａ L the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmi Bantz to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Gherase's late challenge caught a Holmkjar Hotspurs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Gherase helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Holmkjar Hotspurs booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Gherase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Gherase in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egil Sølve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Egil Sølve threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alin Frânculescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Egil Sølve came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Gabriel Gherase. But to his dismay, Gabriel Gherase quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Gigel Nichita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Gurlui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Bjarkmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Sølve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Gherase in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Emerek to maneuver through the defense. When Gabriel Gherase came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Gherase couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Gigel Nichita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 37 minutes on the clock, Octav Jucu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to C Ａ R D I N Ａ L getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Octav Jucu hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Helmuth Mannsmeier made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Gurlui. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Egil Sølve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Juverdeanu in the 42nd minute of play. Pablo Heitmann kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When Eduard Juverdeanu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Juverdeanu couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helmuth Mannsmeier was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Gurlui made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Helmuth Mannsmeier sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 54 minutes, Gigel Nichita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Nichita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when Holmkjar Hotspurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalle Bjarkmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egil Sølve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Juverdeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Nichita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Sølve having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Hăvârneanu to maneuver through the defense. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Christian Ørking replaced Chrestian Provstbo. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Melkior Veje was substituted for Stig Halvgaard. In the 68th minute, Romeo Hăvârneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Gurlui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmuth Mannsmeier in the 70th minute of play. Kalle Bjarkmann's late challenge caught a C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Kalle Bjarkmann took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Edgar Gurlui to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Edgar Gurlui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timmi Bantz. In the 90th minute, Alin Frânculescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egil Sølve was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
