In the 25th minute, one of Clason:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clason. Kenneth Armenta kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Clason's Florentino Selmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Clason from getting a goal against them. Wilbur Farrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Abarca in the 42nd minute of the match. Teobaldo Brun hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. New England Minas's Parker Nance shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Florentino Selmo but with some difficulty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Florencio Abarca made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Middleton in the 53rd minute of play forced Clason's goalkeeper Florentino Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, New England Minas's Diogo Yurin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Selmo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Florencio Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clason's protests and gave Florencio Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Clason was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Yurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Florentino Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Parker Nance went to the cornerflag to take it. New England Minas's Parker Nance was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Florentino Selmo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 66 minutes into the match, Clason's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Yurin came free, but Florentino Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes Clason's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Parker Nance who took care of the corner kick. Parker Nance made a great header on New England Minas's corner, it was just that Clason's Florentino Selmo managed to reach the ball for a save. Parker Nance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradley Burks's late challenge caught a Clason's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradley Burks kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Clason's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Yurin came free, but Florentino Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Macario's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Macario helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Clason getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Urbano Macario hit a great ball. Clason's Florentino Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Burks in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Clason was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Aresti to maneuver through the defense. The tension between the New England Minas and the Clason players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clason booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maria Ricota didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the New England Minas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
