The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Eliu came free, but Silvio Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, SABALEPLUS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zacarias Maldonado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Ramiro Bertran could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Guaberto Nabar however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when SABALEPLUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Matias Koldobika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Cordairo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Eliu in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to SABALEPLUS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Matias Koldobika hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, SABALEPLUS's goalkeeper Guaberto Nabar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Bertran. After a rather tough play, SABALEPLUS's Modesto Eliu got a free kick in the 29th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 30th minute, but Guaberto Nabar got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving SABALEPLUS hanging dry this time. 32 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Eliu came free, but Silvio Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Koko Amelin's late challenge caught a Pilar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Koko Amelin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SABALEPLUS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Koko Amelin hit a great ball. Guaberto Nabar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Bertran in the 40th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Aurre to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pilar FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jose Galindo hit a great ball. Guaberto Nabar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Maldonado's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Eliu in the 60th minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Silvio Cordairo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Nabar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro Bertran in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Nabar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Eliu in the 71st minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Silvio Cordairo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes of play, Pilar FC's Jose Galindo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guaberto Nabar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Hugo Ibarra put in a rough tackle. 77 minutes into the game, one of SABALEPLUS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Pilar FC a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jairo Lleir, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SABALEPLUS's Guaberto Nabar. 2-0. In the 86th minute, Julio Aurre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Cordairo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Guaberto Nabar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Bertran went, in the 100th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. SABALEPLUS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
