Vito Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gaudencio Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Mariano Selmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Veloso during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Jukatriz got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Veloso. The supporters of El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa booed when Jukatriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalberto Monteiro, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jânio Barral came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mariano Selmo could save by the left post. El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Jânio Barral scored to the left of an out of position Mariano Selmo, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Ganix in the 40th minute of play forced Jukatriz's goalkeeper Vito Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Jukatriz's Evaristo Pernambucano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 48 minutes into the game, Evaristo Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Selmo. Evaristo Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Raimundo Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jukatriz and the El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jukatriz getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Raimundo Travassos hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Osvaldo Koldobika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute of the match Wágner Saldanha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Selmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Osvaldo Koldobika fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's protests and gave Osvaldo Koldobika a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes, Jukatriz's Adalberto Monteiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mariano Selmo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jukatriz reached it. Mariano Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Matos in the 62nd minute of the match. Rosendo Elivareo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Evaristo Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mariano Selmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Pernambucano came free, but Mariano Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito Velloso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Martin Pirmin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edinho Machado during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jukatriz's Edinho Machado got a free kick in the 80th minute. Adalberto Monteiro's late challenge caught a El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Vito Velloso, was totally fooled by El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Modesto Vitin, who 85 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Pernambucano in the 88th minute of play forced El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's goalkeeper Mariano Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Jânio Barral made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Selmo. El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1.
