After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Vitório Donatello got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Edson Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Cean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armand Bernage in the 8th minute of play. Ian Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Rogério Cean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico De Lauw in the 12th minute of the match. Fred Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Teun Van den Panhuyzen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Cean. Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rogério Cean came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Fauna Utd's Michael De Potter. But to his dismay, Michael De Potter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With an all-out effort, Sport Club Mavericks's Arne Van Brusselen threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Luís Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 43 played minutes Dráusio Santos rounded Fauna Utd's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráusio Santos made a kick off. Dráusio Santos struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Arne Van Brusselen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Mavericks. Michael De Potter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Castro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fauna Utd getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Mike Vandamme hit a great ball. Arne Van Brusselen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro de Castro in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When André Luís Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luís Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Fauna Utd got a freekick which was hit by Mike Vandamme.
