In the 7th match minute, Black Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Naldo to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Indiana University got a freekick which was hit by Derviş Türkmen. Indiana University's Derviş Türkmen got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdulbaki Baytüzün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Indiana University's Abdulbaki Baytüzün proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Indiana University from getting a goal against them. After 27 played minutes Indiana University got a freekick which was hit by Alaaddin Seralp. When Angel Tello came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Black Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Tello couldn't finish the play. After having played for 34 minutes, Orlando Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Stephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaudencio Bazil's late challenge caught a Indiana University's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Bazil helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Maraman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Kemal Özgunes in the 37th minute of play. Black Devils were furious when Gonzalo Naldo was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Black Devils:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Indiana University:s goal. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Indiana University. Ardahan Öktem stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Maraman. 0-1.

51 minutes into the game, Orlando Stephen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indiana University the free kick. Orlando Stephen kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Black Devils's Benigno Raphael got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Alaaddin Seralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Maraman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Devils's Gustavo Maraman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alaaddin Seralp in the 60th minute of play. Gaudencio Bazil hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Black Devils's Gustavo Maraman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Black Devils from getting a goal against them. Orlando Stephen hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Black Devils defense, Derviş Türkmen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Maraman. The Black Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Maraman should have stopped the shot. Black Devils's Gustavo Maraman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alaaddin Seralp in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Gaudencio Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Black Devils's Nunez Balesio got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 90th match minute, Indiana University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alaaddin Seralp to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derviş Türkmen in the 95th minute of play forced Black Devils's goalkeeper Gustavo Maraman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Indiana University's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
