Thanks to some nice moves Scipio Hulliger could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Alberto Juvenal however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Benjamin Dupéré managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Fribourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Dupéré was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Juvenal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olympique Fribourg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Steiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Dupéré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Juvenal having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Bruno Steiner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alberto Juvenal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Steiner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Alberto Juvenal made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Leoiar was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gustavo Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alberto Juvenal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Steiner in the 67th minute of play. Bruno Steiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Steiner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Juvenal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Steiner, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
