The crowd rose to their feet as AFC United's Matthew Vall slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacinto Ostots. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. AFC United's Cisco Rubial played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Colas in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Vall came free, but Jacinto Ostots reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Aguilera hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Nardo Torrecilla struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jacinto Ostots didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC United. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Vicente Noe charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Noe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Egun Galan managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Egun Galan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Ostots breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Balesio Leiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Menchu FC's Lucio Ourente was substituted for Roque Rivero. Nardo Torrecilla's late challenge caught a Menchu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nardo Torrecilla helped the player get up and apologised. Epifanio Mirande hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
