The audience was convinced that Octav Puiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wlodzimierz Furgat was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nicodim Voiculescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wlodzimierz Furgat. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Dominik Sowa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nae Costin having to interfere. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Benga got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to TOP-STAKES getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Grzegorz Czubski hit a great ball. If Nicodim Voiculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Benga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Wlodzimierz Furgat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dacian Erbașu during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dacian Erbașu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Petre Benga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Witomir Golob hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Petre Benga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Benga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wlodzimierz Furgat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Puiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Wlodzimierz Furgat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Voiculescu in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Octav Puiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wlodzimierz Furgat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Octav Puiu took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wlodzimierz Furgat. Wlodzimierz Furgat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Petre Benga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witomir Golob got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 77th minute, Witomir Golob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the TOP-STAKES defense, Petre Benga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wlodzimierz Furgat. The TOP-STAKES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wlodzimierz Furgat should have stopped the shot. Wlodzimierz Furgat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Benga in the 84th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Petre Benga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nae Costin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Cytrynski in the 98th minute.
