The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Pau Nas Canelas's Tiago Coimbra got a free kick in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Narcis Aursulesei recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caio Abreu. Narcis Aursulesei showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Octav Puiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mădălin Nicodims short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Caio Abreu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goalkeeper Caio Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mădălin Nicodim. Caio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Voiculescu in the 14th minute of the match. Caio Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Puiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Voiculescu came free, but Caio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Manuel Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pau Nas Canelas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- the free kick. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pau Nas Canelas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mădălin Nicodim was slow to take the kick. During this time Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s players had a chance to rest. Octav Puiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Puiu came free, but Caio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pau Nas Canelas's Caio Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Pau Nas Canelas from getting a goal against them. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Octav Puiu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Guguianu. Caio Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Puiu went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Nicodim came free, but Caio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mădălin Nicodim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Octav Puiu took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Caio Abreu to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Laércio Vides made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Caio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Puiu in the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pau Nas Canelas defense, Nicodim Voiculescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio Abreu. The Pau Nas Canelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio Abreu should have stopped the shot. After 56 minutes of play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nicodim Voiculescu made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caio Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Nicodim in the 63rd minute of the match. Pau Nas Canelas's Caio Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Nicodim in the 65th minute of play. Nicodim Voiculescu scored 7-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caio Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Voiculescu in the 74th minute of play forced Pau Nas Canelas's goalkeeper Caio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Voiculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to Pau Nas Canelas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Laércio Vides hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Nicodim Voiculescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Caio Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Mădălin Nicodim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, one of Pau Nas Canelas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Mădălin Nicodim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were the better team. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
