Gonçalo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Minaçu Esporte Clube defense, Claudinho Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo Araújo. The Minaçu Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo Araújo should have stopped the shot. Waldir Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Claudinho Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Gonçalo Araújo. Minaçu Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 27th minute, Walmyr Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Minaçu Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Minaçu Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Medeiros in the 34th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ defense, Waldir Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Carlos Velloso. The Jacuitiba - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Carlos Velloso should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Claudinho Medeiros notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Minaçu Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Araújo. Gonçalo Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gonçalo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Soares in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinho Medeiros to make the kick off. Gonçalo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Soares in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Medeiros in the 60th minute of play forced Minaçu Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Gonçalo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Armandinho Soares got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Minaçu Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Capixaba. Gonçalo Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Soares in the 68th minute of the match. Gil Falcão lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 73rd minute, Gil Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Medeiros took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonçalo Araújo. Gonçalo Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Luiz Gustavo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. José Carlos Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Ademir Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
