Gonçalo Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Minaçu Esporte Clube booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Mansfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Andrade came free, but Duncan Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Schofield in the 24th minute of play forced Minaçu Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Gonçalo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Andrade in the 27th minute of play forced Harchester United's goalkeeper Duncan Beckett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Spurgeon in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Lance Spurgeon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonçalo Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Donald Mansfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-4 became the score in the 33rd minute when Lance Spurgeon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Minaçu Esporte Clube's Tiago Capixaba got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ted Postolan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonçalo Araújo having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Humberto Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Araújo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Harchester United's Donald Mansfield. But to his dismay, Donald Mansfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Harchester United's Carl Philips was substituted for Marty Schofield. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir Andrade made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Prestes in the 55th minute of play forced Harchester United's goalkeeper Duncan Beckett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Grant Doyle came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Harchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grant Doyle couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Minaçu Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Mansfield came free, but Gonçalo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristram Griggs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gonçalo Araújo came out and tried to block the shot, but Tristram Griggs slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Donald Mansfield kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonçalo Araújo. That made the score 0-8 in the 67 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Fantini during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aníbal Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Donald Mansfield made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Minaçu Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Donald Mansfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, César Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minaçu Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harchester United the free kick. In the 88th minute of the match Ted Postolan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonçalo Araújo skillfully saved the ball. Donald Mansfields short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Gonçalo Araújo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Minaçu Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Donato hit a great ball. Gonçalo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Mansfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Harchester United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Minaçu Esporte Clube.
