After having played for 8 minutes, Thiago Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustratios Vertsotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Thiago Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustratios Vertsotis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Olympiacos FC were furious when Markos Kareklopoulos was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 20th minute, one of Olympiacos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olympiacos FC. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Ramos in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thiago Correia in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustratios Vertsotis saved Olympiacos FC from getting behind. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Correia in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Dellios to maneuver through the defense. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Teixeira in the 28th minute of the match. Eustratios Vertsotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Fernandinho da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpectedly hard shot by Notis Trontzos in the 42nd minute of play forced IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s goalkeeper Ronaldão Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno da Cunha to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Sanches. Dimitris Koudas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Quirino having to interfere. Olympiacos FC's Avraam Chalkias was substituted for Alexis Dellios. In the 63rd match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Loukas to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Teixeira during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79thth minute of the game Avraam Chalkias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Ronaldão Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Notis Trontzos might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldão Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Notis Trontzos ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronaldão Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Panagiotatos in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Notis Trontzos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Dimitris Koudas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olympiacos FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Grigoris Plexioudas took the corner. The audience was convinced that Breno da Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustratios Vertsotis was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Thiago Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
