The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when Munat Tayka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camerino Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute Notis Trontzos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro-Ramón Hualde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustratios Vertsotis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inko Abajas in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Inko Abajas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute Notis Trontzos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro-Ramón Hualde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honesto Abeita in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustratios Vertsotis saved Olympiacos FC from getting behind. Lazaros Tsakrilis's late challenge caught a Munat Tayka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lazaros Tsakrilis helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, Munat Tayka's Marcos Francisco Ramos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eustratios Vertsotis. If Tirso Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olympiacos FC's Eustratios Vertsotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattin Abeijon in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honesto Abeita came free, but Eustratios Vertsotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camerino Abechuco hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 63 played minutes, Munat Tayka's Marcos Francisco Ramos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eustratios Vertsotis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Munat Tayka reached it. Eustratios Vertsotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inko Abajas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Notis Trontzos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejandro-Ramón Hualde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Avraam Chalkias put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alejandro-Ramón Hualde. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avraam Chalkias got free with Alejandro-Ramón Hualde in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avraam Chalkias's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alejandro-Ramón Hualde firmly grabbed it by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mattin Abeijon came free, but Eustratios Vertsotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Notis Trontzos in the 85th minute of play forced Munat Tayka's goalkeeper Alejandro-Ramón Hualde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Quispe kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Alejandro-Ramón Hualde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Notis Trontzos in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Mattin Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Munat Tayka's goal looked a bit too open when Avraam Chalkias came free, but Alejandro-Ramón Hualde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
