The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Espiridion during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vaqueteros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Luiz Paulo Ferraz scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Botello, making the score, 1-1. In the 18th match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Galindo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Tono in the 20th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Gualter Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaqueteros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Cordero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Paulo Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vaqueteros FC's Salvador Espiridion got a free kick in the 37th minute. With an all-out effort, Vaqueteros FC's Gualter Luz threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cayetano Cordero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 59 minutes into the game, Olavo Catarinense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Misericordia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vaqueteros FC the free kick. When Amador Sauveur came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Vaqueteros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Sauveur couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Tono to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Vaqueteros FC's Amador Sauveur got a free kick in the 67th minute. Cayetano Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Misericordia EC's Gualter Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Misericordia EC from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Cordero hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Luiz Paulo Ferraz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
