Modestio Constancio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tio Patinhas the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Tio Patinhas's Willian Queirós tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Alexandre Luz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Moise to make any attempt to save it. Ernesto Quin's late challenge caught a Tio Patinhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Quin helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Constancio in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dieguinho de Sousa saved Tio Patinhas from getting behind. David Moise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Brasil in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Alexandre Luz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Moise saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Modesto Constancio fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Modestio Constancio FC's protests and gave Modesto Constancio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Modestio Constancio FC's Modesto Constancio got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Modesto Constancio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Haroldo Moise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ernesto Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Modestio Constancio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egídio Soeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Alexandre Luz struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. David Moise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tio Patinhas. When the referee blew the final whistle, Tio Patinhas could leave the field as winners, despite Modestio Constancio FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
