After 4 played minutes Tio Patinhas got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Prado. After some careless play in the Bandelocos defense, Belmiro Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Palmeira. The Bandelocos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Palmeira should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Gilmar Neto got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tiaguinho Baiano's late challenge caught a Tio Patinhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiaguinho Baiano helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bandelocos! The referee gave Tio Patinhas a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Willian Queirós, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bandelocos's Alberto Palmeira. 0-2. In the 23rd minute Walmyr Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Luz in the 24th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Alberto Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesinha Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruy Dantas in the 26th minute. Cesinha Queiroz came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Bandelocos's Basílio de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Basílio de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Cesinha Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio de Mendonça in the 34th minute of the match. Tio Patinhas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Válter Varela scored to the left of an out of position Cesinha Queiroz, making the score, 2-2. In the 46th minute, Walmyr Domingues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cesinha Queiroz. The goal made the score 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Cesinha Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio de Mendonça in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Guerra in the 59th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Cesinha Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Tio Patinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Pena to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's Váldson Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesinha Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bandelocos's Alberto Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Luz in the 66th minute of play. Bandelocos's Walmyr Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesinha Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio de Mendonça in the 71st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio de Mendonça in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesinha Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 73 minutes, Eliseu Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandelocos and the Tio Patinhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Eliseu Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Belmiro Brasil sent off a good shot on target. After 75 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Guerra. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio de Mendonça in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha Queiroz saved Tio Patinhas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio de Mendonça in the 80th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Cesinha Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Luz in the 83rd minute of the match. Marcel Prado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Palmeira. Bandelocos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basílio de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesinha Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basílio de Mendonça went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Tio Patinhas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
