In the 3rd minute Fidel Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Utopía Muerta FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jacinto Toribio hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Fidel Valente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frédson Freire was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 21 minutes, Cláudio Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xiboquinha FC and the Utopía Muerta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Utopía Muerta FC were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Xiboquinha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Socorro took the corner. Utopía Muerta FC's Jonas Socorro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Frédson Freire in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 40th minute, Fidel Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frédson Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 43rd match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Lucero to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélio Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Utopía Muerta FC made a substitution. Uriel Beat replaced Placido Abaunza. Fidel Weather charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Weather the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Weather to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's Franklin Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Sustrai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Xiboquinha FC's Frédson Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Xiboquinha FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Vicente Lucero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Lucero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fidel Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Hélder Meireles hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Fidel Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frédson Freire having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Utopía Muerta FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Xiboquinha FC.
