Caio Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Félicien Boucard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaétan Anstett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Jefferson de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Though ot was a great shot Cachaça FC's keeper Jefferson de Souza was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a little luck, Cachaça FC's Jefferson de Souza got control of the ball when Gaétan Anstett tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cachaça FC's Jefferson de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cachaça FC from getting a goal against them. Jefferson de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaétan Schwartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cachaça FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R.C. Marseille the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Cachaça FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Barral to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaétan Schwartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes, Kevan Gouverneur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the R.C. Marseille and the Cachaça FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute Gaétan Schwartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Paes during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ulysses Paes hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Quentin Escudié sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson de Souza skillfully saved the ball. Jefferson de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaétan Schwartz in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that R.C. Marseille were the better team. R.C. Marseille's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
