The audience was convinced that Bernard Budzyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dariusz Modrzewski was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Zagórna's Settimo Hajs got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bernard Budzyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zagórna's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Budzyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dariusz Modrzewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernard Budzyn made a kick off. Bernard Budzyn did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Dariusz Modrzewski 52 minutes into the match. Zagórna made a substitution. Cyryl Sitko replaced Piotr Czempa. Bartosz Klejnowski hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Tomasz Soroka in the 83rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dariusz Modrzewski's left hand side. After 88 played minutes GORNIK PIASKI got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Rosiewicz. Bernard Budzyn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dariusz Modrzewski having to make a save. Eugeniusz Budzynski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Zdrojowy, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zagórna walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
