He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Montevideo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Hermengildo Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Ribeiro in the 17th minute of play. Rafinha Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Gartzi in the 39th minute. Rafinha Zanette was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dario Eguzki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 45 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Oxel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 79th minute, Sebastian Oxel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafinha Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Zé Pedro Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Paulin having to interfere. After 93 minutes, José Carlos Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo and the CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute of the match Zacarias Gartzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Zanette showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Montevideo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
