The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Orlandus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pendex's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Matias Montrelle scored to the left of an out of position Guaberto Orlandus, making the score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Barto in the 63rd minute of play forced Estrellas de Caballito's goalkeeper Jaime Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Luis Romero notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pendex's Guaberto Orlandus.
