Variante Delta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fix Ocariz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Odol Morillas could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Tadeo Mancio however easily saved by the left post. 9 minutes into the game, Marciano Nogueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tadeo Mancio. Marciano Nogueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 15 minutes of play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Hernan Nisio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lalo Blanquel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Elvio Ioritz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lalo Blanquel. Variante Delta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Ioritz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Variante Delta were furious when Júnior Trans was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 32 minutes into the game, one of Variante Delta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Variante Delta:s Lalo Blanquel showed great skill when he stopped Angel Lico:s penalty. The audience was convinced that Hernan Nisio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lalo Blanquel was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Lalo Blanquel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Garikoitz in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Variante Delta's zone, Elvio Ioritz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lalo Blanquel came out of the goal and Elvio Ioritz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Odol Morillas to make the kick off. Variante Delta's Lalo Blanquel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Ioritz in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Hernan Nisio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Diamante U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 57th minute, Anselmo Cegama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lalo Blanquel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Celso Garikoitz. A hard shot 64 in the game by Hernan Nisio from a close distance when the talented Lalo Blanquel managed to make a qualified save. Variante Delta's players were relieved. Hernan Nisio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Lalo Blanquel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eriberto Jaunti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lalo Blanquel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Variante Delta's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Nisio came free, but Lalo Blanquel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Deportivo Diamante U18 were awarded a corner. Angel Lico went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Deportivo Diamante U18's Eriberto Jaunti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ramiro Gotzon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Isaias Piearres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Diamante U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Nisio in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lalo Blanquel saved Variante Delta from getting behind. With his leg Lalo Blanquel managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Deportivo Diamante U18's Hernan Nisio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lalo Blanquel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Jaunti, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Deportivo Diamante U18's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
