An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrice Dunn in the 11th minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Lino Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Denis Mercer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Topsail's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Mercer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Naelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Eldridge Talon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alijilán returns's Lino Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyd Baxter in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Esiquio. In the 21st minute of the match Hugues Wheeler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lino Naelio skillfully saved the ball. Fabrice Dunn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Naelio having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boyd Baxter in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Naelio saved Alijilán returns from getting behind. Ismael Esiquio charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Esiquio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ismael Esiquio hit a great ball. Boyd Baxter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lino Naelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Casimiro Caton got a free kick in the 30th minute. Sheldon Felton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Naelio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyd Baxter in the 42nd minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Lino Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Naelio came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Topsail's Boyd Baxter. But to his dismay, Boyd Baxter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gustavo Bide made the kick off in the second half. Rogelio Mallory charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Mallory the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Topsail got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Mallory. Eldridge Talon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Bide in the 68th minute of play. Denis Mercer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Ismael Esiquio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Eldridge Talon came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Alijilán returns's Cesar Sagrario. But to his dismay, Cesar Sagrario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 85 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Esiquio. Fabrice Dunn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Lino Naelio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Leguizamón in the 93rd minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Eldridge Talon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Topsail's Hugues Wheeler got a free kick in the 94th minute. Gustavo Bide struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Eldridge Talon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alijilán returns. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
