The audience thought a goal was coming when Mantvydas Silevičius got free with Allan Félix in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nerijus Narkūnas to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mantvydas Silevičius was slow to take the kick. During this time Savage Hippo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Savage Hippo's Mantvydas Silevičius to fire away a dangerous shot which Allan Félix despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Murilo Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nerijus Narkūnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Allan Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mantvydas Silevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Remo Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrenta SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mantvydas Silevičius to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Remo Falcão could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Mantas Puikys however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe de Lima in the 74th minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Mantas Puikys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Alfredas Klenkys was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savage Hippo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrenta SC the free kick. After 75 played minutes Savage Hippo got a freekick which was hit by Alfredas Klenkys. Luís Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
