Savage Hippo's Mantas Puikys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Dissels in the 3rd minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Donald Kaspers notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Savage Hippo's Mantas Puikys. Mantas Puikys was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 16 minutes of play, De Kasteelheren's Pieter-Jan Staarman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mantas Puikys was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Mantvydas Silevičius came free, but Elroy Jongsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mantvydas Silevičius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elroy Jongsma came out and tried to block the shot, but Mantvydas Silevičius slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 22nd minute. Dangiras Rutkus hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goal looked a bit too open when Mantvydas Silevičius came free, but Elroy Jongsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Rijaard in the 34th minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Mantas Puikys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Kasteelheren's Elroy Jongsma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Pieter-Jan Staarman made a precise shot to the right of Mantas Puikys. Savage Hippo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donald Kaspers made a kick off. De Kasteelheren's Pieter-Jan Staarman got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Einaras Bagdžiūnas charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Einaras Bagdžiūnas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einaras Bagdžiūnas to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Bosstraeten came free, but Mantas Puikys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mantas Puikys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Kaspers in the 65th minute of the match. Mantas Puikys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sjef Klein in the 67th minute. Pieter-Jan Staarman took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mantas Puikys. Mantas Puikys dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Algitas Mažeikis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Elroy Jongsma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
