An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailton Gonçalves in the 6th minute of play forced FURIOZA's goalkeeper Witold Kondysar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Tadeu Lourenço had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Witold Kondysar. FURIOZA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeu Lourenço was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Radoslaw Soliwoda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Emirares Felício tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ailton Gonçalves took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Witold Kondysar to make any attempt to save it. Emirares Felício didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radoslaw Soliwoda went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Stefano Mammarella sped through Sporting Angola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emirares Felício. The supporters of FURIOZA booed when Sporting Angola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Stefano Mammarella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emirares Felício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Angola's Emirares Felício played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Jaks in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Jurand Chlebek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Emirares Felício was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half FURIOZA were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeu Lourenço to make the kick off. David Dikaté kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Willy Messerschmitt managed to get in a good position for a shot. FURIOZA's supporters rose to their feet, but Willy Messerschmitt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emirares Felício breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Barnaba Jaks kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emirares Felício. That made the score 2-5 in the 53 minute of play. Witold Kondysar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 60 minutes, Pedro Galão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Angola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Galão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting Angola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! The referee gave FURIOZA a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stefano Mammarella, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sporting Angola's Emirares Felício. 2-6. Emirares Felício took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefano Mammarella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Sporting Angola's goalkeeper Emirares Felício had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jurand Chlebek. In the 73rd match minute, Sporting Angola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Lourenço to maneuver through the defense. Witold Kondysar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ailton Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The supporters of FURIOZA booed when Sporting Angola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alda Maurtio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Stefano Mammarella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emirares Felício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Sporting Angola's Sebastián Manarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Witold Kondysar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-6. When Tadeu Lourenço fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Angola's protests and gave Tadeu Lourenço a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Sporting Angola defense, Stefano Mammarella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emirares Felício. The Sporting Angola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emirares Felício should have stopped the shot. FURIOZA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
