After having played for 54 minutes, José Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Esportivo 20 Julho's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Saraiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Grêmio Esportivo 20 Julho's Murillo Meira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Murillo Meira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grêmio Esportivo 20 Julho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Murillo Meira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Marcel Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ellande having to interfere. The supporters of ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ booed when Grêmio Esportivo 20 Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Santos Perrando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho Palmeira skillfully saved the ball.
