In the 40th minute Lisandro Dantae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Popan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olimpiu Popan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olimpiu Popan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Tebaldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs's Gonzalo Arce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olimpiu Popan. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Guaberto Tebaldo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olimpiu Popan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs's Hector Leocadio was substituted for Tadeo Lawrence. Olimpiu Popan came out and tried to block the shot, but Amado Vistruario slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 95th minute. ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
