After a rather tough play, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Serafin Aznar got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Dexter Bradshaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Eudoxio in the 38th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Carter Stringer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATLETICO MENDOZA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgard Regan was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Lanús's players had a chance to rest. When Carter Stringer, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 70 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Serafin Ralondo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Edgard Regan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Rogelio Stokes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Serafin Ralondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Lanús. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Celso Fernado got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of ATLETICO MENDOZA booed when Club Atlético Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Regan didn't get a good kick on the ball. ATLETICO MENDOZA played a much better game than Club Atlético Lanús and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Lanús players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
